Australian Wine Review – Macedon

Australia’s coolest wine region is the The Macedon Ranges.   While Macedon has a guaranteed abundance of sunshine,  it’s more temperate than other Australian regions and even has a unique aptitude for a bit of snow cover during winter. This earns Macedon the ability to produce first rate grapes.   The resulting fine chardonnay,  pinot noir and sparkling wines have in turn, established the Macedon Wine Region with a reputation for excellence.

With over 40 cellar doors distributed between and around the Kyneton,  Woodend, Lancefield,  Daylesford and Malmsbury villages, there’s no risk of missing the chance to enjoy their number of distinguished wines served at the lovely boutique wineries.

For the complete listing of wineries contact the visiter information centres at Keyneton or Woodend.
