Australian Wine Review – Mornington Peninsula

The Mornington Peninsula wine region has a diverse range of micro climates and the most vineyards per square kilometre than can be found elsewhere in Australia.   This in turn, allows this single region to produce a broad variety of elegant wines each with their own unique character.

Although a rather small region,  for those looking for a more complete wine sampling, Mornington Peninsula offers an impressive range of wine varietals – from Tempranillo to Gewurztraminer. The acclaimed staples for this cool, slow ripening region however are still the regional favorites of Charonnay,  pinot gris and pinot noir.
