Australian Wine Review – Mudgee

Looking for the perfect rural getaway? Since 1958,  this hilly and picturesque region that’s only a few hours from Sydney has had a fine reputation for great tasting grapes. Now it has a variety of 31 cellar doors and a range of other attractions to enjoy. Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are Mudgee’s two most highly acclaimed wines and it’s first-rate local produce is mouth-watering too with restaurants serving up locally inspired menus focused on  asparagus,  peaches,  berries,  honey,  hazelnuts,  goat and sheep cheeses,  beef,  venison,  lamb and rabbit.
