Australian Wine Review – Riverina

Riverina,  one of Australia’s top agricultural regions,  affectionately known as NSW’s “foodbowl”,  provides it’s premier quality grapes to produce 15% of all Australian  wine. It’s growing reputation for fine wine production can also be discovered at any of it’s 15+ celler doors.    Spread out from between Leeton,  Conaro and Lake Cargellico these celler door’s top wine varieties are Shiraz,  Chardonnay, Cabernet and their world famous, Botrytis-affected dessert wines.

Get up close and personal with epicurean fare served at the many fine restaurants relying on their exquisite selection of local harvests and enjoy the temptation of perfectly sweetened sun ripened fruit,  fresh fish,  cereals,  nougat,  olives,  antipasto,  potatoes,  rice and citrus.   Their highly acclaimed combination of wine and food  make Riverina one of the biggest and busiest wine regions in New South Wales.
